[UPDATED] Police Chase Ends at Maryland Live Casino

Reports of an "active shooter" at Maryland Live Casino described the chaotic scene that unfolded from a police chase that ended in the parking garage.

According to a statement by police, Anne Arundel County Police were alerted to Prince George's County Police chasing a carjacking suspect on I-295. Information developed that they were pursuing a vehicle that was involved in a carjacking in Washington, DC. The suspect led police to Arundel Mills Mall and entered the Maryland Live Casino parking garage resulting in the evacuation of the casino.

The suspect was arrested without a struggle, however, due to the numerous police involved in a short search in and around the casino, a partial evacuation of the casino occurred as patrons fled the area while the police search was conducted.

The casino has since resumed normal operations.
